Part of the fun in going camping is setting up your camp just the way you like it. Whether you are truck camping, tent camping or even in an RV, having the right camp furniture can make for a much more fun weekend.
Today we have so many options for things like chairs, hammocks, tables and lighting. The nice thing is that many of these are designed to pack small and be lightweight so it’s a lot easier to bring comfort with you. Inflatable furniture has even become more reliable and can be another fun option for your campsite. Depending on where I’m going and what kind of trip it is, truck or RV, dictates what I bring along. Below are some of the things I use and other options for your own adventure.
Things to sit on
Rocker chairs from GCI Outdoor. I can’t say enough good things about these chairs. I’ve had these for several years now and they are always the first thing to get packed for a trip. They are not lightweight but geeez are they comfortable! Everyone who has tried one of these at my campsite says, “wow, what kind of chair is this?”
They do make several different models and each model comes in various colors. Personally, I like the Pod Rocker and the Kickback Rocker the best. But you really can’t go wrong with any of these!

What can be better than snuggling up with your significant other, kids or dog on a chilly night? Having a loveseat to bundle up on! This loveseat folds for transport and is padded for comfort. It only weighs 14 pounds so it’s easy to move around and it has cup holders on both sides for your favorite beverage. Love it! Check out available colors and pricing right HERE
If you just want a basic, lightweight folding chair then this chair from Coleman is the one. It folds up very easily and includes a carry bag to pack it away in. I usually keep a couple extra around just for guests. You can order these right HERE
Things to put things on
A side table for the chairs you just bought! These probably seems like a no-brainer but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve set up camp and then remembered that I didn’t bring a table, any table.
This table from GCI is a great addition to your camp kit and easily as handy if you are RV or car camping. It’s lightweight, folds down easily and even has telescopic legs so that you can adjust it as needed. Pick one up right HERE
This is another easy to use table that will come in handy at your camp. The top and storage shelf are made our of a durable and waterproof canvas. The top measures out to about 29″ in diameter so it’s the perfect size to put your snacks on between chairs. This handy unit also folds down small and includes a storage bag. I have used one of these in the past but it didn’t have the extra shelf, which is why I chose this one instead. Check them out HERE
I use a very similar table but I have picked out this one for several reasons. It’s aluminum versus wood or bamboo. This makes it durable, east to clean and you can set your camp stove on it without worrying about the heat. It also has adjustable legs which makes it nice to cook on or you can lower it to suite your chairs better. The storage underneath is also a nice bonus. Check it out right HERE
This is a fun little table for the campsite, the beach etc. It comes in 2 sizes, either 22″x16″ or 16″x11″. It’s aluminum and folds down flat for storage. And you can get it in the woodgrain or several different colors. Pick one out HERE
